　“Numako’s English Journal and Chat”

Description:
“Cheesehead Chat” is a monthly journal created by Numako’s ALT, Brittny Ringler, where students can read about different aspects about foreign culture, along with commenting their thoughts and opinions. The goals for this Journal and Chat are:

１.To express one’s own thoughts and opinions on a variety of topics.
２.To promote cultural exchange between students and people from other cultures.
３.To provide an opportunity to communicate using a different language (English).

Why “Cheesehead”?
“Cheesehead” is a pretty strange name, isn’t it? Actually, the reason why I used this name is because in Wisconsin, the state that I’m from, the people are called “Cheeseheads”. Wisconsin is famous for producing dairy, especially cheese. The factories in Wisconsin produce over 300 different types of cheese. Some of the most popular cheese include cheddar cheese, colby cheese, and mozzarella cheese. 

If you ever go to a football game in Wisconsin, you will see many of the Wisconsin football team fans wearing cheese hats! It’s quite funny.

If you ever get the chance to go to Wisconsin, please try the many varieties of cheeses that are available. You won’t regret it!
